Program Overview: This program consists of four sessions, each lasting two hours, designed to enhance the skills of employees, supervisors, managers, and leaders in effectively managing performance. March 4, 2025 Session 1: Managing Employee Performance o Course Description: Inspiring someone to be their best is no easy task. How do you manage optimum performance? How do you create a motivating environment encourages people to surpass their best? This workshop will give you some of those skills. o What Students Will Learn: The role of goal setting in performance management. A three-phase model to prepare, motivate, and evaluate employees. Tools and techniques to inspire peak performance. o Topics Covered: Shared management models. Goal-setting frameworks. Preparing employees for success. o Who Should Attend: Employees, Supervisors, and managers so that everyone understands the process, role, and expectations. Anyone seeking to create motivating environments and drive team success. March 11, 2025 Session 2: Giving Effective Feedback o Course Description: This two-hour course is designed to help workplace leaders learn how to provide feedback whenever the message is due. Whether feedback is formal or informal, and whether it is provided to employees, peers, or someone else, there are ways t that it can be structured to be effective and lasting. This course will help participants learn why the way we deliver feedback is important, how to deliver a message so that people accept it and make changes that may be needed, and how to accept feedback that we are o offered. o What Students Will Learn: Why feedback is essential for performance management. How to deliver feedback that is effective, constructive, and lasting.Techniques to receive feedback graciously and act on it. o Topics Covered: Feedback definitions and characteristics. Communication strategies. Role-playing real feedback scenarios. o Who Should Attend: Employees, supervisors, managers, and leaders seeking to improve their communication and feedback skills. March 18, 2025 Session 3: Managing the Virtual Workplace o Course Description: Virtual workers and virtual teams are an essential part of today’s workforce. More than ever, people are using technology to work anywhere, anytime. There are benefits to today’s virtual workplace, but there can be challenges, too. This two-hour course will teach managers and supervisors how to prepare employees for the virtual workplace, create telework programs, build virtual teams, leverage technology, and overcome cultural barriers. o What Students Will Learn: Strategies for creating and managing virtual workplace programs. How to build and lead successful virtual teams. Techniques to overcome cultural barriers and leverage technology effectively. o Topics Covered: Virtual workplace strategy development. Leading cross-cultural teams. Planning and facilitating virtual meetings. o Who Should Attend: Supervisors and managers navigating remote or hybrid work environments. March 25, 2025 Session 4: Delegation: The Art of Delegating Effectively o Course Description: Effective delegation is one of the most valuable skills you can master. It reduces your workload and develops employee skills. Delegating prepares employees who work for you to be able to handle your responsibilities and simultaneously allows you to advance to other career opportunities within your organization. Delegation is often one of the hardest skills for a manager to master. However, the skill can be learned. This two-hour workshop will explore many of the facets of delegation, including when to delegate and to whom to delegate. We will also go through the delegation process and learn about techniques to overcome problems. o What Students Will Learn: The importance of delegation and its role in team and personal success. An eight-step process for effective delegation. Strategies to monitor delegation outcomes and provide effective feedback. o Topics Covered: Identifying delegation opportunities. Giving clear instructions and avoiding pitfalls. Building confidence as a delegator. o Who Should Attend: Managers and leaders looking to enhance team productivity and personal efficiency. Each student will receive a Study Guide, Handouts, and other action guides.
